My prayer list keeps growing longer. Sorrows increase. Friends and family are faced with Covid 19 exposure, suicide of a child, job loss, massive flooding with loss of home, loss of work, and separation from family members with special needs.
Yet, when praying for these sorrows, I hear, “Let not your hearts be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27) And I add to my list…
Gratitude for safe delivery of a new grandson, work for most of my family members, health for most of my friends and family, progressive surgery recovery for a family member, gradual recovery of my own strength after illness, a friend in remission, blooming gardens and eagles outside my window.
Sometimes you have to look harder to find joy. Like spotting a baby eagle in its nest, joy is here, if you take the time to search.
Tell me something good.
